Headlines are 30 characters, descriptions are 90 characters, and each of the two display path fields is 15 characters. A responsive search ad accepts up to 15 headlines and 4 descriptions. Google rejects any asset that exceeds the limit.
Meta does not reject long copy — it truncates it. In feed, primary text is cut after roughly 125 characters, the headline after roughly 40 and the link description after roughly 30, with the rest hidden behind “See more”. Front-load the message accordingly.
